The local Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693, recently presented a gift of $5,220.69 to the Capital Region Medical Foundation.
These funds were raised from a chicken dinner the Eagles Club hosted in January. The gift is designated for the Jack Sanders, M.D. Cardiac Center.
Nationally, the Eagles donate millions of dollars each year with the mission of doing good in their communities. Through the years, Capital Region Medical Center has received more than $155,000 from the Eagles to fund various causes, according to a CRMC news release.
"We are so blessed to have the Eagles as one of our community partners and thank them for their excellent support of Capital Region," CRMC Foundation Director Rita Kempker said. "Especially during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, this gift means so much to us as we minister to the needs of our patients and families in our community."
